Vintage 80s Geoffrey Beene for Gallant Mohair Sweater Coat Topper

The collar of a 1980s mohair topper has a large bow closure.

Love the texture and drape, but I don't know how I feel about the stripes. Very pretty.

I love the bow detail! I think the stripes work, but definitely make it more of a casual piece. Geoffrey Beene made such a wide range of styles. I saw a private collection he made and it looked nothing like this, but was still very Geoffrey Beene, and go figure it was on exhibit at the Phoenix Art Museum. His work really is like art.
